Ashley Schulte

Ashley was raised on a small dairy farm in Lena, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with her B.S. in Biotechnology and Animal Science; she credits her amazing undergraduate professors for sparking her passion for research.

Ashley joined the Modiano Lab in 2011 and she continues to study the role that tumor microenvironment plays in hemangiosarcoma. She is also working on a project to tolerize antigen-specific immune response using models of spontaneous diabetes.

Ashley's four-legged family includes her horse, Joe, and her pup, Gracin, who is an excellent camping companion.
